Breaking Free Ministries is registered in the State of Maine. It is currently licensed under Liaison Ministries International based in Kansas under the Independent Assemblies of God International with nonprofit status. MINISTRY SCRIPTURES For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave nor free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28 (NLT). All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is part of it. BREAKING FREE MINISTRY’S VISION Our ministry is to demonstrate by example the oneness of physical marriage and the spiritual marriage of Christ and His Bride. The mystery is no longer a mystery. It is our call to see marriages operate under the principles and outline of Ephesians 5, which symbolizes Christ and the Bride, His church. It is our mission and call to see the Body of Christ functioning as One unified body with all of its members having full and equal participation in the building up of the Bride, the Body of Christ. This entails seeing all the members, male and female, using their spiritual gifts and natural talents to build this Spiritual Sanctuary. The scriptures commands us to practice seeing with spiritual eyes and walking in the spirit and not in the flesh. This means, in the Body of Christ, gender is not a factor because God does not see as man sees. In His sight there is neither male nor female, Jew or Greek, slave nor free. (Galatians 3:28) Breaking Free Ministries believes that women have been oppressed since the Garden and kept in bondage to traditions of men. The Bride of Christ has been hijacked by men, and women have not been given full and equal participation in the Body of Christ. Christ is the Head of the Church, His Bride, not men, and He has not given over His Bride to be ruled and dominated by men. In Ephesians He tells women to be subject to their own husbands, not every male but their husbands only. In the spiritual marriage the Body of Christ is male and female, we are all the Bride and Christ is the Head or Husband. There is only one Bridegroom and one Bride, one husband and one wife. The other half of the Bride and Body of Christ, women, have not be allowed to be co-members of the Body, using their spiritual gifts, which are not gender-based, but are given as the Holy Spirit wills. Not as man wills. BFM believes that women have been twice imprisoned in their marriages and in the Body of Christ. It is our mandate from God to help in preparing Jesus’ Bride which is the church who is the Body and all its parts and members, as a glorious Bride, without spot and blemish. Our vision is the Body of Christ described in the book of Ephesians is operational and functioning, awaiting the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. God desires to see a whole healthy Body, with all its members acting as one. FREEDOM CAFÉ DISCIPLESHIP HEADQUARTERS MODEL BFM presently has had its Discipleship Headquarters and Ministry base in the State of Maine since 1999. Freedom Café is a discipleship headquarters, a ministry of evangelism and discipleship training since 1999. Like Paul, Freedom Café serves as God’s tent making ministry and a discipleship headquarters. Since opening in 1999 God has sent over seventy souls to Breaking Free Ministry, first, witnessed to and won to the Lord; secondly, to be healed and discipled. In these twelve years both disciple and teacher have learned valuable wisdom and instructions from God on discipleship, its content, its practice and how to bring about God results. Freedom Café is a unique ministry ordained by God to reach and disciple souls. It defies all human reasons and goes against society’s prejudices and predictions. It is a ministry of unconditional love and acceptance. It is a unique experience in what God’s community looks like in the book of Acts. It defies racial stereotypes with two African American Christians serving physical soul food as well as the real food of the soul – the gospel of Jesus Christ, in a state that is 98% white. This ministry of Jesus Christ crosses all cultural and racial barriers of our day. It defies racial, gender and economic prejudices in its pursuit of spiritual mentoring and discipleship of souls. BFM ministers to Generation X, Y and Z as well as baby boomers. It represents the Body of Christ working for the good of each member. It represents God’s family in that we are spiritual parents to a host of young adults. Just like Jesus, BFM does not focus on race, gender, economic status but souls that need to be saved and restored. PURPOSE OF DISCIPLESHIP
BODY MINISTRY Restoration of the Family of God to the biblical models not the worldly, earthly model, sustained by traditions of men and by male domination and oppression. The model that we emulate is in Ephesians 5, a Body with Christ as the Head with all the members regardless of race, gender or economic status being held to the highest standards of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, making no provisions for the flesh. And physical marriages of male and female with Jesus as the center of their lives; husband as Priest of their homes demonstrating the commands in Ephesians, to lay down their lives for their wives and children as Christ did for His Bride, the Body of Christ; not to abuse, oppress, dominate and destroy them. MINISTRY TRAINING In order for the members of the Body of Christ to function and operate in their gifts and talents, training and teaching will be available in the Discipleship Training School for doing the work of ministry reconciling unbelievers to Christ. HOW WE WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS
WHAT'S YOUR VALUE? by Julia We put a value on everything, including ourselves and others, and we use any number of criteria to determine that value. God puts a value on us too, but He uses none of the criteria that we do. His measure of all things is Himself, as He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Truth is found in His Word, and it is there that He reveals Who He is and who you are. Here we also see the value that He puts on you. Yes, you, exactly who you personally are as defined by Him and not others. He says to you today that you are of such value to Me that I died for you. Now why would He do that? Because He so loves you. Now why would He love you? Just because He does. That's Who He is and we can't get away from that fact. He's the criteria we measure everything by. God longs to tell you that He knows exactly who you are, and all that has happened in your life, and to declare to you that He loves you. He shows the love and value that He has placed on you each and every day in hundreds of different ways that are personally unique to you, if you have eyes to see. That is what this ministry is about, to make you aware of the eyes to see what He wants to give you. He waits for your response. Will you let Him show you His love for you?
